Hans (Darumbal man from QLD) manages and coordinates all the affairs and activities of the GLSC subject to the decisions, policies and directions of the GLSC Board of Directors, the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) and the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth).
Mr Mark Rumler MA (Syd), LLB (UNSW), LLM (Dundee) – Principal Legal Officer
This role provides a high level of legal advice and services to the organisation in relation to Native Title Applications, Future Acts, Mediation, Native Title Research, Agreement Making, Land Use Agreements, Corporate Structures and governance. It also represents the organisation and Aboriginal groups in negotiations and before the National Native Title Tribunal and the Federal Court. It is also responsible for the provision of legal advice and support to traditional owners, to the GLSC and Board of Directors. The PLO ensures that the GLSC fulfills its statutory functions under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). This is an executive management role that interacts directly with the CEO and other managers within the organisation. This role also provides management to a multidisciplinary and cohesive team.
Mr Peter Voros B.Bus, CPA – Chief Financial Officer
This role is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the GLSC operations. This position provides leadership and co-ordination of budgeting and funding controls, financial and accounting policies, and financial policy advice to the CEO and Board of Directors. The Chief Financial Officer assists directly with strategic and financial management through budget management, cost analysis, forecasting and securing of funding.
